Experience what it feels like to be the person "BEHIND THE BADGE"
The Hercules Police Department tentatively will be holding a Community Police Academy in the fall from (September to November 2024). Classes will be on Saturdays, with sessions in the morning and afternoon.
When you join the Hercules Community Police Academy, you will experience some of the same training that our officers receive:
- Patrol Procedures
- Crime Scene Investigation
- Identity Theft & Internet Crime
- Narcotics
- Emergency Preparedness
- See a Police Dog (K9) track and bring down a suspect
- Tour the Martinez Detention Facility
- Special Response Team Training / Activity
- Ride along with an Officer
- Visit your 911 call center and listen in on emergency calls
- Take part in DUI field sobriety tests
The Hercules Community Police Academy is limited to 25 students. If you are interested in being part of this exciting experience, you may obtain an application at City Hall, the Police Department, 111 Civic Avenue.
