Located in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area, the City of Hercules provides a safe and healthy community in which to live. Here you will find information about our department, its personnel, operations and other aspects of our service to the community.

We are a progressive police department which recognizes that by working in a partnership with our community, we can best meet our goals of protecting life and property, improving the quality of life, reducing crime and the fear of crime and maintaining a safe community.  

The Hercules Police Department serves a community of seven square miles and over 20,000 people. We are located 20 miles east of San Francisco. The city is composed of residential, commercial and industrial areas.
