Clearance Letters

A Clearance Letter (PDF) is a letter from the Hercules Records Unit stating whether or not you have had any contact with the Hercules Police Department.  These letters are typically needed for immigration paperwork, employment, etc. The clearance letter fee is $47 and is due at the time of request. Photo ID with current address is required at the time of pick up (turn around time is approximately three days from the time of request).

If you leave your home for periods of time and would like the Hercules Police Department to be notified of your absence, please fill out the Vacation House Watch form and submit it to the police department.
