As children, we are taught particular safety measures to prepare ourselves for natural disasters and other sources of danger. Aside from earthquakes, fires, and storms, our changing and challenging times presents us with another catastrophic, unpredictable threat.

In recent years, the climate of terrorism has increased and is currently at its most tangible. It has become an unfortunate reality, and it is our responsibility to prepare for such an attack, in the same vein as an earthquake or fire. While the faces of disaster transform and change shape, one factor remains constant, and that is our ability to secure as much safety for our community as possible. This can be done by preparing for such emergencies, should they ever arise.
