The City of Hercules has many parks throughout the City for all to enjoy. All parks are open from sunrise to sunset. Park restrictions include no amplified music, no alcohol and no inflatable jumpers.
Picnic tables are now available for rent at Foxboro Park, Refugio Valley Park, Shoreline Park and Woodfield Park. Picnic Rentals are available at All park reservations are on a first come, first serve basis. A completed facility application along with full payment is required in order to reserve.
A large gathering permit is required for any gatherings of 50 or more people for Refugio Park only. All other picnic locations may not exceed 48 total in attendance. Application and full payment for the permit must be submitted at least 45 days prior to their intended park usage date.
The permit does not provide exclusive park usage, but it does provide for use of one picnic reservation area if one exists in the park that will be utilized.

No Jumpers Allowed
Due to liability issues, the City of Hercules does not allow any inflatable structures or jumpers on any City property (parks and/or facilities). The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but believes that the safety of residents must be a top priority. Residents can still host parties and events at City parks, even though jumpers will no longer be permitted.
