Dear Village Parkway Neighborhood Resident,
The City of Hercules is developing a traffic calming plan for Village Parkway and Hercules Avenue. The goal of this plan is slow traffic down, increase safety, encourage more walking and bicycling, and create an environment that enhances the quality of life for street users and adjacent residents.
At last November’s Public Safety & Traffic Council Subcommittee Meeting, residents in Village Parkway communicated traffic-related concerns and issues they were experiencing in the neighborhood to City staff. We have developed a traffic calming plan to address these concerns, which can now be viewed on the City’s homepage at www.ci.hercules.ca.us. Scroll down to the News/Updates section and click on the article titled: Draft Traffic Calming Plan for the Village Parkway Neighborhood.
We are seeking your input on this traffic calming plan at the Wednesday, March 30 Public Safety & Traffic Council Subcommittee Meeting.
The meeting begins at 6:00 pm and will be virtual. It can be accessed via Zoom at:
Meeting ID: 833 7565 2721
Passcode: 361654
or by telephone at +1 669 900 6833 US (San Jose).
Alternatively, you can mail (Attn: Mike Roberts) or email (mikeroberts@ci.hercules.ca.us) your written comments to me, which must be received no later than 4:00 pm the evening of the meeting so they can be distributed to the Subcommittee members at the meeting.
Your feedback is very important to us and key to successfully address the neighborhood traffic-related concerns. We hope to see you at the meeting!
Best,
Mike
